The Apprentice Groundsman is a starting position within the company. This position will start as a groundsman and will help clear tree and brush debris, help the foreman setup bucket trucks and equipment, assist in getting equipment to the foreman and help with spotting and rigging duties in pruning and removal.

Groundsman candidates will have:

• ability to get a CDL within one year of hire
• pass a physical capacity profile and drug test

Groundsman apprentices are competent and capable of:

• following directions
• is able to identify site hazards to include clearances, ground conditions, structures, other workers and terrain
• able to perform minor maintenance on equipment
• proper lifting and carrying techniques
• assist with the loading and unloading equipment
• inspecting and procedures for rigging
• cleaning up the worksite
• keeping equipment and vehicle organized
• following all safety policies and encouraging others to do the same
• ability to learn new equipment and operate equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17 - $20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
